Sight Fishing Tailing Bonefish on the Flats

Bonefish are some of the most challenging fish to target on the flats, especially in heavy wind conditions. In this video, Jon and I set out to sight fish shallow flats for tailing bonefish using both fly and spinning tackle. After battling rough conditions early in the day, we finally found a protected flat loaded with tailing fish. What followed was one of the most exciting hours of shallow water fishing we’ve experienced — close shots, missed opportunities, and multiple bonefish caught in skinny water.
