Buffalo Overlook

Buffalo Overlook

The Oneida Nation of Wisconsin is a member of the National Bison Association and started their Buffalo operation in 1995 with 7 buffalo. Pat Cornelius retired manager tells the story about the day the buffalo arrived. Pat Cornelius: “I always say that’s the day the road shook”. “When they hit the ground, when they came out of that trailer and they actually hit the ground”. “I am not telling stories here”, and “I looked at Debbie and she looked at me, and I said “did that just happen.” There are two pastures for the buffalo to feed. The heard is grass fed and has grown to over 130. The Buffalo Overlook is open from April through November.
