Fantastic Northern Lights (time-lapse)

Time-lapse recording of the fantastic northern lights display on 8/9 May 2016 in Northern Germany. I recorded the single images near Langwarden at the North Sea. You can see the tide coming back in after midnight and the various phases of activity of the aurora borealis. The northern lights lasted from dusk till dawn. The faint red bands above the main aurora most likely are weak proton arcs.
