Ukrainian officials claimed that over 40 towns were hit by Russian shelling in the last 24 hours. Russia reportedly launched five missiles, 12 airstrikes and more than 83 attacks from rocket-propelled grenades. Ukraine's Ministry of Internal Affairs claimed that a hospital in Donetsk has been destroyed by a Russian rocket. Russian President Vladimir Putin granted Russian citizenship to former US intelligence contractor Edward Snowden on September 26.
