Cold and wet winter lure fishing session on the Avon for Pike

The near freezing temperatures and snow wouldn't stop me using some time off work to get down on the river Avon. The pegs were difficult to get down to at times, but it was well worthwhile for a spot of lure fishing for pike. I started the session off with a small drunk dancer, a soft bait on a screw-in jig head, focusing on the covered margins where the water runs deep. I was looking for deeper slower pockets holding pike waiting to strike.
