Hey everyone. Shane here with etrailer.com. Today I have a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado 2500. I'm gonna walk through how to install the Firestone Ride-Rite air helper springs for the rear axle. Adding airbags to the back of your vehicle, it's gonna give you a lot of different benefits. Our neighbor here today actually holds a fifth wheel has a fifth wheel hitch in the back. We had all that tongue weight in the back of the truck. If we didn't have airbags, it's gonna cause the back our vehicle to sag a little bit. When it sags like that, that means our suspension is starting to get weak. And our axle is actually making up for what our suspension can't handle. So adding the airbag is gonna give us that extra support we need. This is gonna work the same if we're pulling something on the bumper or the back of the vehicle. And also if we have different loads in the back of the truck, those bags are gonna give us that extra support we need to make up for what our suspension isn't able to. There are different compressors that are available here at etrailer, depending on how you are gonna use your airbags. You can get dual airbag or dual compressor where it's gonna air up each bag individually. You can get single you can get wireless, you can get analog where you actually have the gauges mounted in the truck. I will say between those two the wireless is much easier to work with- a lot less wires and stuff you have to run inside the vehicle. For instance, if you have something like what our neighbor here does pulls the fifth wheel all the time. Wireless compressor makes it very easy. You're not gonna have to find a hose or find airline. You're gonna have to go back to the back of the vehicle with your air chuck and your gauge, determine how much you need with a wireless compressor. We can know what our men, our maximum pressure needs to be. When we're hooked up to our vehicle, we push a button it airs our bags up to that. Once we unload our trailer out the vehicle we push a button, it lowers it to the minimum amount needed. You can find those different compressors here at etrailer. Now, if we compare these to other types of bags, for instance, airlift the biggest difference between them is with Firestones. You can actually, if you take your vehicle and you get it worked on, you can actually allow them to let the axle hang with the airbag still attached. With airlift, you can't. You actually they would have to disconnect the lower brackets so that it doesn't pull on that bag. Now we've gone over some of the features out here. Let's go ahead and take it inside. We'll take a closer look at the bags on the vehicle. So what our bags are gonna look like when they're installed- these are gonna be a durable, rubber construction. They're gonna be double convoluted. It's gonna look like two bags stacked on top of each other. They're actually gonna be one. It's gonna have a steel band right in the middle, and that keeps the bag from overlapping itself. Gives it a lot more stability, When you have 'em like this. The caps on the ends, these are gonna actually gonna be, the bag's actually gonna be rolled up inside of there. That's gonna help keep any air from leaking out. Brackets, all the hardware, and everything's gonna come with the kits. Brackets are gonna be steel construction black powder coat finished. Hold up really well against rust and corrosion. Installation side of this is gonna be pretty straightforward simple and straightforward. There's not a whole lot of extra stuff you're gonna have to do, other than, I would suggest removing your spare tire, maybe your heat shield on your passenger's side for your spare tire. It's gonna make it a lot easier to get up in there. Other than that, it's pretty simple and straightforward. It is just gonna require some basic tools. Your bag is gonna have a max PSI 100, minimum PSI of 5. You're gonna have a low leveling capacity of 5,000 pounds. Keep in mind that does not increase the weight carrying capacity of the vehicle. Now that we've gone over some of the features let's go ahead and walk through how to get 'em installed. So your installation, we're gonna take all of our hardware out. Our brackets. We're gonna grab this bracket here. They are not side specific. We're gonna grab these two brackets. We're gonna set 'em in place and they're gonna line up just like that. We want this
