FIRE: Raging Vehicle Fire is suspicious in Oak Park

Just before 3 a.m. Wednesday, Sacramento Fire Department's Engine 6 responded to reports of a vehicle on fire in the 3800 block of 17th Avenue, in the Oak Park neighborhood of Sacramento. While in route, Engine 6 received an update that a fence may also be involved. When Engine 6's fire crew arrived, they found a well involved vehciel fire in the alley way, adjacent to a fence and a house. The crew qucikly extinguished the blaze; the owner did not remain on scene and a check of the vehicle's plate revealed that the vehicle was not reported stolen and everything was current and clear. The fence was slightly burned and there was no damage to the home. No one was in the vehicle and no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is under investigatoin.
