Its operation relies on the emission of powerful radio waves in the 2.4 GHz to 2.5 GHz range, the same frequencies used by most wireless devices, thus causing degradation or complete blockage of the original signal. Although there are different models and configurations, the most common portable jammers have a limited range of between 2 and 6 meters, capable of affecting not only Bluetooth speakers but also other devices operating on the same frequencies.
