Continuing my playthrough of Reimu route in FMW Normal+. And it's time to 1cc EoS--- oh wait no, wrong Touhou game. This video is set against the boss of the EoSD chapter, Remilia Scarlet (cute), and an extra stage that involves Akyuu again, but it's fairly short so I decided to include it here. Stage 11 is surprisingly manageable, the early problem you'll likely have here is trying to split up cause the enemies are left and right THEN Sakuya returns with a spellcard, and it's a pretty good one too with 20% acc for her and allies, so use those evade abilities. Once she gets to low health (or defeat her straight up), Meiling becomes powerful and causes the next attack to only deal 10 damage, so be aware of that as it may kill one of your units. Heal with Daiyousei, Keine and Nitori wisely. Patchouli and Koakuma aren't really a threat, in fact they don't even move surprisingly on this difficulty, so beating them up is a lot easier once every else are gone. After those 2, it then brings you to the actual boss, Remilia herself. For this early in the game, she's not very hard but she can really get scary. She heals a set amount of hp per turn due to her being a vampire + being on night time, has decent evasion and has a special move on her 2nd spellcard, which we'll get into. Her 1st spellcard is no biggie: -15% evasion while her having low HP isn't a threat. Her 2nd spellcard, however, is if you're caught unaware. Remember when I said Yuuka has an exclamation mark? Well, it refers to these types of attacks called "MAP"s in this game. They're AoE attacks that can hit multiple units without allowing you to defend against them, so you need to preemtively activate evades, damage reduction and even heals BEFORE they use a MAP, otherwise you'll take a lot of damage or even straight up kill your characters. Good thing she's quite soft still, so you can take her down if you have a lot of your units available to move. Her 3rd and last spellcard is simply a stat boost, but don't look down on a mere +10: it's pretty a sizeable buff this early. Use bombs to remove the effect on her and beat her up. Ta-da~! Stage 6 done. Stage 12 is a short and simple stage: You protect Akyuu from a bug and you beat it with Keine because it has a special ability which reduces damage except for one move, barrier-piercers. You need Keine to have 120 power for this so have her beat up some enemies, and have everyone else clean and cage the bug. If you're doing Marisa route, bring Akyuu to the point where I've sent her to unlock her secret.
