The Canons of Dort Historical Background

Here is the beginning of the sermon series on the Canons of Dort. This material was provided by the Chapel Library in Pensacola, FL which is part of the Mount Zion Bible Church. This portion covers the historical background for the Synod of Dort which took place between November 13th, 1618 and May 9th, 1619 (154 meetings). The controversy that was at the center of this national Synod was the Arminian Controversy in which they deviated from the Belgic Confession of Faith.
