LOG Worship Service 4th Sunday in Advent 12/19/21

As we approach the celebration of Jesus birth on Christmas we ponder the mystery of the incarnation, from the LORD's point of view in our Old Testament Lesson from Micah 5:2-5a how His humble origins contrast with the great work He came to do. In our Epistle Lesson from Hebrews 10:1-10, our Hymn of the Day LSB #564 "Christ Sits at God's Right Hand" , and our Sermon Hymn #530 "No Temple Now, No Gift of Price" we look at how God the Son's incarnation fulfilled the work and requirements of the Jewish Sacrificial System. Through our Gospel Lesson we see the wonder of the incarnation from Mary and Elizabeth's eyes as she rejoices in the LORD choosing her, and in the salvation work her baby boy will accomplish for all peoples.
