Traditional Tausug Way of Engagement I Pagpangasawa I Pertunangan I Pamamanhikan

Every races has its own traditions. Tausug means [people of the current] in the Philippines and Suluk in Malaysia is one of the ethnic race that practices their own colorful and unique traditions. Beautiful manners and characters of this ethnic race is as pretty as its people. Some Culinary Tradition of Tausug were served during the feast such as Tiyula Itum [black soup] blackened with burnt coconut my favorite and Chicken Piyanggang also flavored and colored with burnt coconut that were specially cooked for the bride and the groom. Panyam Baulu Lokot-Lokot and Panganan are few of well-known delights of their tribe that were served during the occasion.
