Stringing a Rickenbacker 6-string with a high strung/Nashville set of strings brings out some truly magical tones. If you've ever wanted that jangly 12-string sound but wanted to try something other than a full 12-string guitar, a Nashville or High-strung set of strings may be for you. It produces only the octave-higher sound without the regular strings and sounds great on recordings against a track with a regular clean guitar or acoustic guitar track. It is reminiscent of Roger McGuinn from The Byrds or Tom Petty. I love the sound and it has led to some really beautiful sounds on my studio recordings. Let me know what you think of the sound against my American Fender Stratocaster. Both the Rickenback Fireglo 360 and the 40th anniversary strat are played through a modified Vox AC4 HW (or hand wired) amp. 0:00 Intro 0:15 Test Gear 0:33 Strat 1:15 Rickenbacker 2:22 Cowboy Chords and Scales 2:50 Rick reprise #rickenbacker #nashvilletuning #Voxac4 #40thanniversarystratocaster #jangly
