U.S. Special Rep. for Iran speaks following Soleimani's death

On Tuesday, Brian Hook, The U.S. special representative for Iran, addressed U.S. tensions with Iran in the wake of the killing of Gen. Qassem Soleimani following a closed-door meeting on Iran policy. Hook stated that Soleimani was “plotting to kill more Americans” in Middle Eastern countries, and that the Trump administration would take “all necessary defensive measures” against any potential Iranian attacks. He also said that Soleimani was responsible for the murder of thousands of Iranians, including the deaths of 1500 people during protests in Iran.
