Hurricane Maria has decimated Puerto Rico. But even before the disastrous storm, residents were facing a serious financial dilemma in all economic sectors, particularly healthcare. Correspondent Gerry Hadden traveled to San Juan before the severe storm to report on the crisis that had doctors leaving in droves. Hurricane Maria was the most powerful storm to hit the U.S. territory in 80 years. The entire population of Puerto Rico lost electricity and the majority of power lines were destroyed. 80 percent of its cellphones towers were damaged. And the power grid is in such bad shape, repairing it may not even be possible, it may need to be entirely rebuilt.
