NAU Shooting Victim's Father Seeks further Gun Control

Doug Brough, the father of NAU shooting victim Colin Brough, puts his efforts towards eliminating guns on college campuses. Brough said he supports Facebook and Instagram's recent decision to not allow users to buy and sell firearms on those sites. Along with some of Colin's friends, he has created a campaign website to better spread the word about gun violence and gun free college campuses. Last October Colin Brough and three of his fraternity brothers were involved in an altercation with another group of students on campus that left Colin dead. Defendant Steven Jones awaits trial while still in jail on charges of aggravated assault and 1st degree murderer. Jones’s next court appearance has not yet been scheduled. Jones has claimed self-defense in the case and has said he feared for his life that night. Toxicology reports of all involved showed that Brough had alcohol and marijuana in his system at the time of the incident, Jones tested negative for both.
