Got a little jumpy against Tomoe anticipating lightning. The small amount of health recovered by the final deathblow was owed to killing O'Rin. Dodging to the side and behind Genichiro during the jump attack will (usually) prevent the followup, removing the guesswork and letting you get in a thrust for more Vitality damage than if you'd gone for an umbrella deflect to normal slash while saving you a spirit emblem, try to keep him out of the corner and avoid pinning yourself against a wall so you have room to maneuver. The thrust also lets you stay on him better than deflecting the perilous thrusts or jumpkicking off his head, which is important as constantly wailing on him keeps him predictable. Pacing out sword swipes will sometimes make him try to draw his bow out repeatedly for free hits. The umbrella doesn't suffer the normal blockstun or pushback of normal deflects against his perilous thrusts and seems to take less Posture damage.
