I'm over at my site, Film Lifestyle, to give you a live example. You'll notice on this page about the French New Wave film movement, my name and picture are displayed. This is pretty standard with WordPress, depending on your theme and settings. Your name and image get automatically attached to your posts. But sometimes, you might want to remove that for various reasons. The quickest way to do this is by using a plugin called WP Meta and Date Remover. Head over to the plugin section, click on 'Add New', and search for WP Meta and Date Remover. I've already got it installed, but you'll want to install it and then activate it on your WordPress. This plugin is pretty handy. Once installed, you'll find it under settings. Look for WP Meta and Date Remover, and in the primary settings, you'll see an option to remove the author from targeted posts. Just toggle that to 'yes', hit 'save changes', and it should remove the author from your posts. I haven't applied it yet to mine, but that's how it works. In cases where the plugin doesn't do the trick, you might need to add some CSS manually. For most WordPress sites, go to Appearance, then Customize, and down to Additional CSS. Here, you can add a piece of code that essentially hides the author name by setting the display to none. If you encounter any issues, adding '!important' to your CSS code can help override any other settings that might be preventing the changes from taking effect. So, that's how you can remove an author name from a WordPress post, whether it's your name or another author's. It's a straightforward process, whether you're using a plugin or diving into the CSS. I hope this tutorial has been helpful for you.
