Boulevard Of Broken Dreams - Trinity Electric Guitar Grade 5

A reference demo performance for my electric guitar students. This track is built on top of a ballad strumming pattern base, and utilises hybrid picking, channel switching, barre chords/power chords, and sliding octaves. #aidanguitarist Featured in the original syllabus for Trinity Rock & Pop Grade 5, released in 2012. Fender American Stratocaster Mad Professor simble overdrive - clean (intro & verse) Mad Professor royal blue overdrive - chorus & solo Mad Professor electric blue chorus - to highlight any parts featuring octaves (verse and guitar solo) Fender blues junior 15 watt valve amp AKG c214 mic Shure sm57 mic to capture the amp in stereo Recorded in one take with no editing or audio overdubs. I have aimed to upload a performance that would be marked at minimum Distinction level by any current exam board (eg. 18+/20 in a RSL exam). Please be aware that when presenting an interpretation there is plenty of room for Merit level (15-18/20), and Pass level (12-15/20), before an exam board such as RSL would mark the performance 'unclassified' (0-11).
