Studebaker ended production at its sole Canadian plant in March 1966. But the Avanti, child of Studebaker and the car Studebaker had pinned its hopes on continued for some time. This car was produced in the old Studebaker plant in South Bend. The owner tells me that it was built in such low numbers that it was essentially customized to whatever the new owner would want. Hence the presence of a very pricey Blaupunkt radio, with its guts in the trunk area. It's a beautiful example of an exotic car!
