Ingredients For donuts Whole wheat flour 1 ¾ cups Palm sugar candy powdered / panang kalkandu powder 4 tbsp(honey can also be used ) Salt ½ tsp Nutmeg ¼ tsp Egg 1 nos Warm milk 1 cup Melted butter ¼ cup Instant yeast 2 ½ tsp Oil for frying For glaze Palm sugar candy powdered / panang kalkandu 2 tbsp Cinnamon 2 tsp Method 1.In a bowl add whole wheat flour, palm sugar candy powder, salt and nutmeg, whisk it gently and keep it aside. 2.In another bowl add Warm milk, melted butter, egg and instant yeast,whisk it gently and keep it aside. 3.Now add the wet mix to the dry mix and keep kneading , if you are using hand oil your hands and knead for 20 minutes (hand or stand mixture can also be used to knead for 10 minutes). 4.Oil your hands and apply oil around the dough and let it sit covered for an hour or until it doubles its size . 5.Take the dough and divide it into four balls. 6.Flatten the ball to 1 inch thick and cut it into donuts. Repeat with remaining dough. 7.Let the donuts sit aside for 30 minutes covered . 8.Take the donuts and fry in the medium heat oil on both sides. 9.While it's still hot dust it in palm sugar cinnamon mixture. 10.Serve.
