Halloween III: Season of the Witch Rated-R 1982, Universal Pictures: An MCA Company MCA Videodisc, Inc. Original Video Disc CED Format and Only CED Version Released on its Market Street Video Store Retail Date 1983. Video and Unit Formats: RCA SelectaVision SFT100W Player CED a.k.a. Capacitance Electronic Disc CED (Capacitance Electronic Disc) had a rotational speed (RPM) of 450 RPM for the stylus to read the groves on the black colored LP album discs which came securely encased in the plastic 12" Movie Disc cover. Before my parents purchasing our very first VCR/VHS machine and video tapes in the early '80s from New York City's defunct popular electronic store Trader Horn, my family and I enjoyed watching movies on one of our very first Home Video machines called RCA SelectaVision VideoDisc CED Player originally manufactured by Radio Corporation of America) The first two CED a.k.a. Capacitance Electronic Disc system players my family bought were from a small electronic store and one of the big ones besides P.C. Richards & Sons called THE WIZ Electronic store. I say two players because the first had common technical and mechanical issues as with most of those RCA defunct playing systems caused by the Stylus cartridge needle contacting the 12" LP style black colored disc manufactured of vinyl substrate and conductive layers which were responsible for giving you picture or visual on the screen. A TV Repairman just told us that the Cartridge cost the same amount as new player. So we opted for the last purchase of a CED Disc player unit until we (as with most American households) invested in our first VCR. It was shortly after the VHS that we gave those old RCA CED players away but never discarded them in the trash receptacles. We owned just about 50 movie titles of the RCA CED Discs from Paramount Pictures, Dramas, Comedies and personally my favorite Mystery, Suspense, Sci-Fi and Horror. Most of these defunct CED Discs were distributed by Paramount Pictures Home Video, MCA Video Discs, Inc., Vestron Video, Wizard Video, MGM/UA Home Video, and many titles from Embassy Home Entertainment and many more! This CED Disc version of previews from HALLOWEEN III: SEASON OF THE WITCH (1982) released from MCA Home Video Discs, Inc. (a Universal Pictures video label) on the defunct home video CED format in 1983, is a demonstration of what the screening looks like on a 72" UHD HD Smart TV. Also, demonstrates how the RCA CED Disc SFT100W Player Stylus needle cartridge at 450 RPM makes contact with the grooves of the inserted disc when in the Play mode.
