Okt 2025 #hanszimmer #darkknight #synthwork #modularsynth #uberarena #berlin This video demonstrates Hans Zimmer's synthwork setup and improvisation on his modular synth (0:00-2:00), where we can hear strong Klaus Schulze and so-called 'Berlin school' influence, yet all played in Hans Zimmer way. Who else can incorporate electronic sounds into symphonic part so nicely?? Synths, keyboard, el. guitar - Hans Zimmer Synths, computers, keyboard - Kevin Schröder Synths, keyboard - Eliane Correa Hans Zimmer primarily uses the u-he ZebraHZ software synthesizer for live performances, along with a custom modular system named SynTesla Giorgio III. He also incorporates classic analog synthesizers and their software emulations, such as the Roland System 700 and 100M and Moog modulars, and relies heavily on software for many of his sounds, often within his DAW, Steinberg Cubase.  Live performance and software u-he ZebraHZ: A custom version of the u-he Zebra 2 synth, which Zimmer has stated is used for 90% of his work. SynTesla Giorgio III: A large, custom-built modular synthesizer for his "Next Level Tour". Steinberg Cubase: His go-to Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) for live performances and studio work.  Analog hardware and software emulations Roland System 700 and 100M: He uses these massive modular systems, and their sounds are recreated with software. Moog Synthesizers: He employs both vintage Moog modules and the Moog System 35. Fairlight CMI: A classic digital sampling workstation from his early career that he still uses for live sets. Arturia CS-80: The classic Yamaha CS-80 synth is featured live, often alongside other hardware or through its software emulation.  Other notable live gear Behringer 2600: This classic semi-modular synth has been featured on his live tours, used by musicians like Pedro Eustache. Solid State Logic UC1: A hardware control surface that allows him to control his DAW and plugins directly. Universal Audio UAD-2: A system he uses to process a wide range of sounds.  Other relevant software Synapse Audio The Legend HZ: An analog-modeled software synthesizer developed in collaboration with Hans Zimmer, designed to capture his signature sound. Spitfire Hans Zimmer Percussion and Strings: These are virtual instrument libraries he created that are used in his scores, and can also be integrated into live sets.  Watch more Hans Zimmer in Concert episodes:    • Hans Zimmer in Concert   Watch more Hans Zimmer unboxings:    • Hans Zimmer Unboxings   Timecodes: 0:00-1:40 Intro (Improvisation on syths: synthwork, filters, sequensor) 1:40-4:05 A Dark Knight Theme 4:05-6:07 Why So Serious Theme
