The best Reuben Sandwich I’ve ever made- Here is our recipe for a great Reuben Sandwich. We braised our corned beef in Stout beer, stone ground mustard, black pepper and 1 whole onion as our aromatics. We browned our corned beef in a cast iron pan on all side, reduced the heat and added our stout, mustard and onion, covered and cooked at 300 degrees for about 3 hours. Our Russian dressing s made with mayo, ketchup, dill pickle relish, horseradish, smoked paprika and Worcestershire to give it a bit of a spice. There is a great German deli that has this wonderful sauerkraut that I like to flavor with dark beer and mustard. Let is simmer for a bit and cool.
