Making a Minimalist Wallet - ASMR Leather Working

Making a minimal card wallet, featuring custom initials debossed with a 3D printed stamp. Handcrafted from 3oz veg tan leather, dyed russet brown, oiled with neatsfoot oil and finished with carnauba creme. The wallet is saddle stitched by hand with braided waxed thread, and the edges are burnished with gum tragacanth and beeswax. If you are interested in embossing or debossing leather with 3D printed stamps, I've found that 0.075" of relief works perfectly to get a deep, crisp impression. I give the face of the stamps a light sanding with 220 grit sandpaper to get rid of the 3D printed surface texture, and wet the leather thoroughly with water before applying the stamp with clamping pressure. For a stamp of this size, 1 minute in the clamps is sufficient, but you would want to increase the time in the clamps for larger debossed/embossed areas. The stamp is printed with PLA using 100% infill.
