LAFD | WESTWOOD MEDITERRANEAN RESTAURANT FIRE

9-16-2016 L.A. Firefighters, Task Force 37, Light Force 92, Battalion 9 first on scene at 1781 Westwood Boulevard reported light smoke showing from the Liwan Mediterranean Restaurant & Hookah Lounge in a set of commercial occupancies at that address. During ventilation Firefighters encountered a double roof in the structure. Firefighters quickly forced entry, knocking down the fire with hoselines in approximately 20 minutes. There were no reported injuries, smoke damage was extensive. The cause of the pre-dawn blaze is under investigation. - MNR -
