HMAS Choules delivers 5 fire trucks to Papua New Guinea

Five firetrucks from the Queensland Fire and Emergency Service (QFES) were craned onto HMAS Choules on 13 February 2021 for delivery to Papua New Guinea. The Australian Defence Force welcomed the opportunity to transport the fire trucks to the Papua New Guinea Fire Service on behalf of QFES, as a way to acknowledge and thank Papua New Guinea for similar support 12 months prior. A year ago, around 100 members of the Papua New Guinea Defence Force stood side by side with ADF personnel in response to the devastating 2019/2020 Black Summer Australian Bushfires.
