Christian Scripture Meditations for the heart, Quiet time with the Holy Spirit, Matthew 8:1-4

Shalom my friends, As we meditate on this week's passage let's keep in mind Ephesians 5:8-14. Let us ponder on the heart of this man with leprosy and the risk he took in exposing himself to the Light, the risk of being vulnerable and authentic. But how can we be vulnerable with someone if we are not with ourselves first? How can we open up our hearts to someone we fear, don't understand or know or trust in His goodness? The view of God we hold will impact the degree of our vulnerability before Him, and our relationship with Him. The Ifs about Yeshua that we have in our hearts need to be brought into light. He is willing to cleanse, but are we willing to surrender and submit to Him? Do we fully trust in His goodness and love? For an insight into the reality of leprosy, Tom Bradford's lesson is a great resource:    • Lesson 20 - Leviticus 13   Thank you to all the people that helped me this week as I "collected the breadcrumbs", a comment and a prayer, and insight, especially P. Grego, P. John, P.Vaikini, and my church community for your support.
