Once again 2 Cadaver Organ Donation from Surat in a single day. In Gujarat for the second time in short period of nineteen days organ donation from two brain dead patients in a single day was done through Donate Life from Kiran Hospital. Organ Donation of 2 Kidney, 2 liver, 1 Heart and 2 corneas was successfully done through Donate Life which gave new lease of life and vision to 7 persons. This was 402 Kidney, 169 Liver, 36 Heart and 304 Corneas donation from Surat through Donate Life. Amidst the difficult times of COVID 19 pandemic when there was decrease in the ratio of Cadaveric Organ Donation in India, Donate Life has been able to persuade the donation of 42 Kidney, 24 Liver, 10 Heart, 14 Lung, 1 Pancreas, 40 Corneas, total donation of 131 Organs and Tissue gave new life and vision to 121 people across India and Globe. We salute the family members of Late Virendrabhai Khimjibhai Dedhia and Late Jamanbhai Popatbhai Gondalia for their brave decision to donate the vital organs of their beloved one after doctors declared them brain dead. Heart transplantation was done at MGM Hospital Chennai. Liver transplantation was done at CIMS and IKDRC Ahmedabad. Kidney transplantation was done at IKDRC Ahmedabad and Kiran Hospital Surat. Corneas were donated to Lok Drashti Chakshu Bank. We are very much thankful to Doctors and Management of Kiran hospital Surat for their wholehearted support to this noble cause.
