#REPORTER : MOHD JABBAR #WWW.SHAHNEWSINDIA.COM The Cyberabad Cyber Crime Police apprehended a gang from various districts of Bihar like Nalanda, Forbesganj and Patna, who have been doing loan frauds by sourcing bank accounts and SIM Cards on mule identities in the State of Telangana and other States as well. By offering high amount loans in quick and easy manner, under around names of Bajaj Finance, they defraud people by taking money from them under various pretexts, and finally not giving them the loan. Details of the accused: A1- Subash Kumar @ Subash Kumar Matho @ Subash A-2 Shreekant Kumar @ AlokRanjan A-3 Amit Kumar @ Sonu Brief facts of the case: This is a case of “Loan fraud” wherein the accused cheated the complainant as he is calling from Bajaj Finance. By luring to get a loan approved for Rs. 1,00,000/-, defrauded the victim on various aspects like registration fee, loan insurance fee and other fees. The complainant believed their words and paid an amount of Rs. 4,37,256/-. Basing on the above complaint a case was registered in Cr. No. 429/2022, U/s 420 IPC and Section 66-D of I.T. Act. Modus Operandi of the Accused: The gang is comprised of Call center operators, tele callers and suppliers of bank accounts, ATM cards and SIM Cards. One of the methods used by these people is that they put online advertisements for quick loan disbursals using the names of trusted organizations such as Bajaj Finance and mention their contact numbers in the advertisement. When somebody clicks on the advertisement or its link, they send them a message or sometimes people call the fraudster’s number given in the advertisement. In the guise of providing loan, the fraudsters take money from victims on various pretexts like Loan insurance fee, loan agreement charge, GST, Loan processing fee etc. People end up paying the amount because they think that by paying money, they will get the loans. The money received from victims is taken into mule bank accounts sourced by fraudsters, either from innocent people or people willing to rent their accounts to fraudsters on legitimate or illegitimate aspects. The tele callers are responsible for initiating the conversation and once the first payment is made by the victim, the call is transferred to the call centers directly supervised by the main fraudster. Later, all payments made by victims are transferred multiple times through various accounts to prevent detection and finally withdrawn. From the accused caught here, they have sourced and sold more than 675 mule bank accounts and 725 mule SIM cards and the committed fraud. The property seized from the possession of accused: 17 debit cards of different banks 3 bank pass books 4 smart phones Fake loan offer and confirmation letters Advisory to the general public: Do not click on online advertisements regarding quick loans Do not answer or continue the conversation when calls come regarding quick loans Take loans from verified bank sources. Please beware that legitimate loan disbursal bodies like banks etc. will never ask you to pay multiple charges.
