Let's worship together! Our scripture reading comes from Luke 24:36b-48. After the day of the Resurrection (Easter), Jesus continued to appear to his disciples and others for a period of 40 days. In these post-resurrection appearances, Jesus gave convincing proof that he was indeed alive and he taught people. Specifically, he taught how his life, death, and resurrection were the fulfillment of what God had revealed through Moses and the prophets. In other words, Jesus taught that he was the fulfillment of God’s promises in the Hebrew Scriptures. Why is this important? It reveals a very important thing about God that we need to know and remember — God knows what God is doing.
