02-02-2022 Wichita County, TX - Ice/slush/speed causes multiple wrecks along U.S. 287

[email protected] As the freezing line slowly marches S/SE the ice continues to fall and causes issues for drivers along U.S. 287. 1 semi jack knifed and before officers could get to the scene a local in a lick up used a chain and his truck to straighten the semi and drag it back up the hill. 2 other cars lost control and ran into the center median fencing and another ran into a ditch filled with trees. No major injuries though. TXDOT Crews working 13 hour shifts constantly going up and down the highways.
