Audra Strickland Appears On Charter Local Edition To Talk Waste, Fraud, & Abuse

The special committee investigates how taxpayer dollars are spent and recommends better ways to solve California's budget problems. Recently, the committee discovered state government had wasted $40 million on frivolous purchases such as cars, furniture, and conferences. Tracy Young: "What are your constituents saying to you?" Audra Strickland: They are very concerned we are spending more money then we have, and they don't have more money to give [the state]." Tracy Young: "Do they have an appetite for more taxes?"
