Alan Wake Remastered (Switch on Switch 2) Episode 6: Departure

This is it, the grand finale (because I'm sure as heck not playing the DLC episodes). With the Clicker in hand, Alan makes his way all the way back to Cauldron Lake, with the intention of entering its waters to confront the darkness itself. (most of the video covers the trip back itself) Within the waters of the lake, Wake finds himself inside a mind-landscape of sorts; he theorizes this must be how the darkness interprets the thoughts of a writer. He meets with Thomas Zane who instructs him on what to do, and introduces him to a smiling man he calls "Mr. Scratch", who will apparently take over Alan's place the real world. Filling the darkness with light, Alan is successful in rescuing Alice from the depths of the lake and it also appears to have brought back some of the people that became taken(?); however, it seems Alan himself is now trapped inside the same darkness. Everyone in town appears to be back to normal, and is celebrating Deer Fest none the wiser about what happened to Alan... Or at least almost everyone. The story of this game doesn't quite have a well defined ending, and it seems you need to play the second game, and perhaps also watch some complementary media to get the full picture. But that's where I'll leave things myself. I hope someone enjoyed watching this blurry adventure with me. As usual, the software belongs to its owners, I only record my gameplay for my own enjoyment.
