It is Pokiri, which was released on 28th April 2006. It is completing ten years today. Mahesh Babu and Ileana played the lead role and it was directed by Puri Jagannadh. Pokiri is the first of its kind in Gangster thriller drama which came with low buzz but created sensation. 1. Pokiri is the first industry hit movie which collected triple than the actual budget. 2. Pokiri was released over 397 screens, including 354 in Andhra Pradesh, 20 in Karnataka, 3 in Orissa, 3 in Tamil Nadu, 1 in Mumbai and 16 Overseas. It completed 50 days run in 300 centres and 100 days in 200 centers, 175 days in 63 centers, 200 days in 15 centres, 365 days in Bhagiradha theatre, Kurnool, 500 days in Bhagiradha theatre, Kurnool. 3. Pokiri also had a success run of 1000 Days in Bhageeratha Kurnool. 4. Pokiri had a silver Jubilee at 2 theaters in Hyderabad which is still an unbeaten record. 5. It was a musical hit movie and the music was scored by Mani Sharma. 6. Awards- Mahesh Babu won Filmfare, Santhosham Awards in the category of Best Actor award. Puri Jagannadh won Film fare award for Best Director. Marthand K Venkatesh won Nandi award for best Editor. Vijayan won Nandi award for Best Fight Master Award.
