Hello friends.. This is Arpita. I am a big foodie and and very passionate about cooking. I am here to show my passionate love towards food and cooking through my videos. My today's recipe is "Rich Plum Cake" or Rich Fruit Cake. The story of the Rich plum cake begins in medieval England, where it was a popular tradition to observe a period of self-denial, fasting, and abstinence from every kind of indulgence in the weeks leading to Christmas. The abstinence and occasional fasting was supposed to prepare the body for the overindulgence and excesses of Christmas. According to custom, on the eve of Christmas, a rich porridge was cooked and eaten to “line the stomach” for the upcoming feast. The porridge, said to have been made with oats, dried fruits, spices, honey, and sometimes even meat, can be called the grandfather of the Christmas — or plum cake. Today I am going to prepare a fusion recipe of Rich Plum Cake without using Butter, All Purpose Flour, Sugar, Egg and Alcohol. So we can Call the Cake as HEALTHY CAKE.
