Meet the Mural Artist - Arts Commission Meeting - June 22, 2022

Join the Arts Commission on June 22 at 6:30PM for a meet and greet with the artist selected to paint a mural on the newly renovated Downtown San Leandro BART substation building. This project has been in the works since 2016 and we are very excited to present this opportunity for the community to meet and inspire the process. The artist is Mike “Bam” Tyau, a well-established muralist and arts educator in the Bay Area. His selection for the installation of this mural was facilitated by a public process in 2019, while the building was under construction. At long last, we are ready to finish the process. Stop by and say hello, get to know Mike, and share a few things about what makes San Leandro special.
