Reports: Ukraine retakes 200 square kilometers of Russian-occupied territory | DW News

Ukraine's military says it has recaptured about 200 square kilometers of its own territory in less than a week - that's according to a study by the Institute for the Study of War. The study claims the recaptured land is concentrated mainly along the border - east of the city of Zaporizhzhia - in an area where Russian troops made significant progress since summer 2025. If true, it would be the fastest battlefield gain in two and a half years. The study says one of the main reasons of making such advances would be the recent shutdown of Russian forces’ access to Starlink. 00:00 Ukraine's battlefield gains 00:43 Marina Miron, Military analyst, King's College London For more news go to: http://www.dw.com/en/ Follow DW on social media: ►Instagram:   / dwnews   ►TikTok:   / dwnews   ►Facebook:   / deutschewellenews   ►Twitter:   / dwnews   Für Videos in deutscher Sprache besuchen Sie:    / dwdeutsch   Subscribe: https://www.youtube.com/user/deutsche...
