Uilleann bagpiper Patrick Fitzpatrick performing a medley of Irish Reels ca. 1917 for Thomas Edison's record company. These quite thick discs often come up at garage sales and thrift stores and are not meant to be played on the more common phonograph/Victrola/Grafonola machines but rather the Edison Diamond Disc players. You CAN play these on modern turntables if you swap the blue and white wires on your stylus cartridge. The sound information on theses is stored in the bottom of the groove, not the sides. Can anyone name the tunes that make up this medley?
