IMPROVED RUN:    • DS3 SL1 Iudex Gundyr (Fists Only, No-Hit)   Faster and cleaner. BREAKING NEWS! Ten-foot-tall black man killed by an unarmed, naked hobo. This was supposed to be a no-hit, no-damage-taken fight, but I don't particularly feel like retrying just because I took a single hit near the end. I might try again if I feel like it (I did) or want to beat him without ever parrying/rolling. Tips for beating Iudex Gundyr with Fists Only: For Phase 1, stay in medium/close range. The easiest strategy is to parry him. You should look to parry three moves, his standard thrust, his running swipe from the left, and his swipe from the right. You can bait his standard thrust by standing at medium range and parry loop him, but you can also stand closer to him so that you can fit an R1 in after each riposte. The move to watch out for is when he quickly punches with his left hand, as this is unparriable. For Phase 2, stay in close range and hug his left side (your right). This phase is very simple, just dodge his 3 different moves and get in a few hits afterward. When he slams his right side into the ground, just walk around his left side. When he jumps you can I-frame into it, or just walk/roll away from him since the attack has little horizontal-tracking. Watch out for his swipe from his left arm, since it's his fastest attack.
