Making the JK-BMS work for us. Should we start this adventure? Battery 2.0

I'm trying really hard to fit the JK-BMS somehow in our battery shelf, connecting it to the breaker as well as the battery. But regardless how I turn, move and angle it, it's not ideal and is too much of a compromise. Do I have an idea here though? I also follow up on some comments about fusing the BMS balance cables. Does this increase the resistance and if so by how much. Well, because we install a fuse in all balance leads, the increase is the same for all balance channels, right?
