Womble Bond Dickinson - Informed Counsel Conference 2018

Informed Counsel is a set programme of activities exclusively aimed at GCs or those working in-house. This year we hosted our inaugural Informed Counsel Conference in London and Newcastle. Themes included Brexit, whistleblowing, competition and antitrust, innovation and financial regulation. The day opened with Professor Ewan McKendrick, Professor of English Private Law and editor of Goode on Commercial Law. Professor McKendrick is delivering his commercial contract update, covering the most important cases of the year. We also welcomed our key note speaker, James Hanlon, General Counsel (Head of Legal Operations) & Company Secretary IKEA USA, who shared his experiences of being a GC on both sides of the Atlantic. #WBDInformedCounsel
