01/12/67 Junior Miss contest at Roanoke Chamber of Commerce
(Start film) The Junior Miss Contest got underway last night at Hotel Roanoke with a reception sponsored by the Roanoke Chamber of Commerce. (Show film) On hand for the occasion were over 200 invited guests, who greeted the 19 young Junior Misses. The girls will appear tonight at the American Theatre for the first two nights of competition. Jewel Ann Catron--the current Junior Miss--will relinquish her title Saturday night to another Virginia girl who will reign as Junior Miss for 1967. This years winner will go to Mobile, Alabama, to represent Virginia in the National competition for the title of Americas Junior Miss.
