All About C A R E Transport May 13, 2009

Colorado Animal Rescue Express - C.A.R.E. is a transport service that moves dogs and cats in the midwest shelters to rescue groups and adoptive homes in Colorado. From June 2007 through April 20, 2009, over 3900 animals have been moved to safety. C.A.R.E. volunteers, all unpaid, have driven more than 230,000 miles to save the lives of these loving companion animals. C.A.R.E. is a 501(C)3 non-profit organization that operates out of Denver and is solely funded by donations, fundraisers and grants. A Helping Hand So many neglected and abused, Abandoned, frightened and alone. Through no fault of their own, But in the midst of their pain, There are loving, caring Angels, Who give them the gift of love again. Who could ask for more than this, Such a miracle of great news, Cause every day there's a longer list. Transporting the forgotten and forlorn, Is such a worthy, needed cause. Greeted with smiles and words of hope, They travel through The Land of Oz To hands that heal with loving touch And give them a home they need so much, Where they can become safe and secure, Their broken hearts the Angels cure. Big, small and in between, So much suffering they have seen. Please if you possibly can, Give our Angels a helping hand. It's up to us to do our part, From the compassion in our hearts.
