Minichamps F1 Williams Damon Hill

This video features a Minichamps, 1/43 diecast replica of the Williams-Renault FW18 racing car that Damon Hill drove in the 1995/96 F1 season. On the real car's bodyshell the word "Rothm*ns" was prominently displayed, however this has been replaced on the model by the word "Racing." I'm not quite sure why this is, as models of the famous Lotus 72 proudly display the "JPS" logo, as do McLarens bearing the "Marlb*ro"  logo. It may have something to do with manufacturer discretion.  On the 13th October, 1996 at the Suzuka race track in Japan, Damon Hill won the Japanese GP to become the 8th British driver to win the Formula 1 World Championship. He was following in the footsteps of his father Graham, who had been the World Champion himself on two occasions with victories in 1962 and 1968. That day, Hill was driving for the Williams-Renault team in an FW18 car that was considered to be the strongest, most reliable and fastest car of that season. The car was designed by Williams chief designers and engineers Adrien Newey and Patrick Head. The Williams-Renault team also won the Constructors Championship in 1996.
