The Old West: Northwood - Teaser Trailer | Unreal Engine 5 Tech Demo
In this video, I'm thrilled to showcase a sneak peek of my work on a demo created in Unreal Engine 5 - The Old West: Northwood. The Player will be taken on a journey through the recently abandoned town of Northwood in the Old West, and will step into the shoes of the local sheriff. In this demo, players will experience a fully functional day and night cycle, complete with a dynamic weather system. Traverse the streets of Northwood under the warm summer sun or explore the snow-covered town during the winter (showcase video coming soon!). You have the freedom to switch between first-person and third-person perspectives, and when darkness falls, rely on your trusty lantern to illuminate the darker corners. This demo provides an immersive experience and a stunning showcase of next-gen graphics capabilities and the power of Unreal Engine 5. I think games like The Witcher (New Saga) or Tomb Raider powered by Unreal Engine 5 will look even better than this! I built this demo based on the environment created by Dekogon Studios, expanding it to create a more immersive experience. Additionally, I utilized various other assets to enhance the world and immerse players in its rich atmosphere. I started working on this project back in mid-February, pouring countless hours and energy into its development. Originally intended to be a modest undertaking, the project grew and evolved, providing me with valuable learning opportunities and fueling my passion for its continued development. As a beginner developer with limited experience, this project has been a significant milestone for me. I hope you enjoy the fruits of my labor and find it engaging and entertaining.
