March 5 2000 26 year old Othella Harrington averaged a career high 13.1 points and 6.9 rebounds this season on the Vancouver Grizzlies. In the battle of Canada, Harrington had 22 and 10 with some solid work down low. In Harrington's high school class, depending on the publication you looked at, he was either ranked number one or number 2, alongside some kid from California named Jason Kidd. In his senior year, Othella averaged 28.9 points, 24.9 rebounds, and 5.8 blocks per game at Murrah High School in Jackson, Mississippi. He is second all time in high school basketball history (think of all the millions of kids that have played varsity ball) in rebounds. He attended Georgetown University, the next name of a string of big men that played under John Thompson. He left as the 5th all time scorer, 5th in blocks, 4th in rebounding, and is the all time leader in offensive rebounding.
