About Leigh Johnson: Leigh Johnson was born circa 1860.[1] In 1897, Johnson became the district Marshal of Armadillo, a settlement in the territory of New Austin. Due to a cholera epidemic afflicting Armadillo in 1907, Marshal Johnson was temporarily absent, along with most of the town's residents. Despite his work and contributions to keep Armadillo from becoming "a living hell", he receives little to no appreciation from the residents, even being rumored to be involved in acts such as corruption, among other things. The Marshal also commands a couple of loyal deputies, Jonah and Eli, as well as an unnamed deputy featured in "The Assault on Fort Mercer". “My cause is to keep this town from turning into a living hell for the folks who live here.„ Marshal Leigh Johnson is a major character in Red Dead Redemption. With the addition of the Liars and Cheats DLC pack, Marshal Johnson is also a multiplayer character model that may be selected in the 'Redemption' section of the Outfitter. Missions: Political Realities in Armadillo is the first mission. Story: John enters the Sheriff's Office where he sees deputy Jonah sleeping in an open jail bed and another prisoner in a locked jail cell. The prisoner sees Marston and wakes Jonah, saying he has company. Jonah stands up and asks why he has come, and John, thinking that Jonah is Marshal Leigh Johnson, says he's from Fort Mercer. Justice in Pike's Basin in the 2nd mission. Story: John stops by Marshal Johnson's office to speak to him. Before their conversation goes anywhere, Deputy Eli enters the office. Eli says that cattle rustlers have been spotted in Pike's Basin, just northeast of Armadillo. When Eli says that the rustlers have taken Mr. Gulch's ranch hands and cattle into the basin, the Marshal calls Eli, John, and Jonah to arms. All four of them race to Pike's Basin to save the ranchers and their cattle. Spare the Rod, Spoil the Bandit is the 3rd mission. Story: Leigh Johnson asks John Marston to help in silencing a group of outlaws who have been terrorizing a town. They form a posse consisting of Marston, Marshal Johnson, Eli, Jonah and Dell Hopkins and ride out towards Ridgewood Farm. Hanging Bonnie MacFarlane is the 4th mission. Story: John Marston walks into the Armadillo Sheriff's Office to find Marshal Leigh Johnson and Bonnie's father, Drew MacFarlane. Bonnie has gone missing and her father partly blames Marston. Just then, a member of Bill Williamson's gang rides up, claiming to have Bonnie under the danger of rape and murder. The Assault on Fort Mercer is the 5th mission. Story: John Marston and his group, consisting of Marshal Leigh Johnson, Deputies Eli and Jonah, Nigel West Dickens, Irish, Seth Briars and an unnamed deputy break into Fort Mercer, and try to find and capture Bill Williamson. West Dickens provides an armored stagecoach, Seth distracts the gang, Irish provides a Gatling Gun, and the Marshal and his deputies provide firepower.
