Windows 10 Is Over and LTSC Won’t Save You

Windows 10 is officially end-of-life, and while many people understood the message from my last video, a surprising number still think “just use Windows Enterprise LTSC or Windows IoT” is the magic escape hatch. In this follow-up, I break down why LTSC and IoT are not long-term solutions for home users, why these editions exist in the first place, and why relying on them will fail long before 2032. We’ll talk about the Shared Source program, the real-world industries these OS versions were designed for (aviation, dental, industrial CNC), and why your “just use LTSC bro” strategy is going to fall apart the moment modern hardware and software moves on. I’m fully aware of Extended Security Updates and the extra year in the EEA. But those are temporary extensions, not a plan. If you’re not on actual enterprise licensing, keep LTSC offline, or start planning your exit: either Windows 11… or Linux.
