Meteorologist Ashley Renee has your 8:15 am forecast. Good morning everyone and happy Tuesday! Our Monday began with fog in the Baton Rouge area, but the fog finally completely cleared out by mid morning. It was a beautiful Monday with plenty of sunshine. Baton Rouge had a morning low of 49 degrees and an afternoon high of 81 degrees. The low temp was on average while the high was 11 degrees above the normal high for this time of year. This is another morning with patchy fog around our area, but the fog will clear by mid morning. Temperatures are in the low 60s this morning. Highs will be near 80. More clouds will be around this morning and then less clouds will be around this afternoon. It will be another nice day to spend some time outside especially since today will be another dry day. It will just be warm and humid. Rain chances return tomorrow and continue into early next week. Wednesday morning will be mostly dry, but a few isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms will move through our area in the afternoon and early evening. Thursday morning will also be mostly dry, but isolated showers will move through in the afternoon and evening. Rain chances will be a little higher on Friday and this weekend. There’s still some uncertainty on whether a frontal system will move through our area this weekend, but enough moisture will still be surging again to produce rainfall over our area. This will be needed because of our current drought conditions. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will be on and off in our area this weekend so keep that in mind if you have any outdoor weekend plans. Isolated showers could start Saturday morning and then rain coverage will increase for Saturday afternoon and evening. There will be a similar setup for Sunday. Scattered showers and thunderstorms will continue into Monday. Severe weather doesn’t appear to be an issue, but there is still a chance to have a couple of stronger t-storms passing through this weekend. Thanks for watching. Have a terrific Tuesday!
